RLG is proud to introduce Scope 3 Insights, a powerful product designed to help businesses manage their Scope 3 carbon emissions with real-time, transaction-based data. Unlike traditional estimations, Scope 3 Insights calculates emissions based on actual logistics movements, enabling businesses to take immediate action and measure the impact of their sustainability efforts. Given full access to logistics data or direct management of the reverse supply chain, RLG can unlock real-time tracking, providing businesses with unparalleled accuracy and deeper insights to optimize sustainability strategies. Companies looking to enhance their carbon transparency and drive sustainability progress can now access Scope 3 Insights through RLG’s platform.

As carbon reporting regulations evolve, companies must adapt. With the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in place, many EU businesses are required to measure and disclose their greenhouse gas emissions, placing a stronger focus on Scope 3. Global standards such as the IFRS S2 and initiatives like the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) are making full visibility across the value chain more critical than ever.

Scope 3 Insights empowers businesses with the clarity and data needed to track emissions effectively, ensure compliance, and drive meaningful sustainability progress.

Navigating the Complexity of Scope 3 Emissions

Scope 3 emissions typically represent more than 90% of a company’s total carbon footprint, yet they are the hardest to measure due to their indirect nature. These emissions stem from a variety of sources, including raw material extraction, supplier operations, transportation, product use, and end-of-life disposal. Without clear data, businesses struggle to quantify their impact and take meaningful action.

Key Features of Scope 3 Insights

RLG’s Scope 3 Insights product equips businesses with a comprehensive and data-driven approach to emissions and sustainability management. Key capabilities include:

  • Material Flow Mapping – Identifies emission hotspots within the reverse supply chain for targeted action.
  • Real-time Emissions Tracking – Calculates CO₂e emissions based on actual logistics transactions, enabling precise impact measurement and immediate corrective action.*
  • Accurate CO₂e Calculations – Provides reliable end-of-life carbon footprint assessments using primary and secondary data.
  • Optimized Circularity Strategies – Helps businesses reduce waste and enhance recycling efforts.
  • Regulatory Compliance Support – Ensures businesses meet evolving global sustainability regulations.
  • End-to-End Emissions Tracking – Covers transportation, waste treatment, and material recovery processes.
  • Avoided Emissions Measurement – Highlights carbon savings from recycling and secondary material use.
  • Customizable Reporting & Insights – Offers a user-friendly dashboard for businesses to track performance and set achievable targets.

*Real-time tracking requires full access to logistics data or direct management of the reverse supply chain.

A Smarter Approach to Carbon Transparency

At RLG, we are committed to making carbon management simpler, more effective, and aligned with real business outcomes.”
