EPR compliance doesn’t have to overwhelm a small team. In this webinar, Melanie Weitzel and Tina Nguyen from RLG show how lean EPR teams can use better packaging data, smarter processes, and targeted external support to cut costs and reclaim capacity—without a full system overhaul. You’ll walk away with practical, right‑sized actions you can start applying in your next reporting cycle.
What You’ll Learn
- How to structure your packaging data so you can see your biggest EPR fee drivers and identify quick-win savings opportunities.
- Ways to use eco-modulation levers—like recyclability and material choice—to move packaging from higher-fee to lower-fee categories.
- How benchmarking, data health checks, and CMC reviews uncover hidden overpayments and compliance risks.
- Practical methods for finding low-effort, high-impact packaging changes that don’t require a disruptive portfolio redesign.
- How to streamline supplier data collection, clarify internal roles, and turn EPR into a predictable, repeatable process instead of a last-minute scramble.
- Where partners like RLG can plug in—data management, insight tools, supplier outreach, and more—so small teams get “right-sized” help without losing control of their program.
Who This Webinar Is For
- Small or single-person EPR teams responsible for packaging reporting.
- Sustainability, compliance, packaging, or finance leads who need to manage EPR obligations on top of other roles.
- Organizations looking to reduce EPR fees, improve data quality, and free up internal capacity without adding headcount or building a full analytics stack.
Why Attend
If you’re stuck in “just get the filing out” mode, this session will help you step back, see where your data and processes are quietly costing you money, and design a smarter EPR approach that fits the reality of a lean team.

Her journey into waste systems began during graduate school, where she piloted a composting program at a major surfing event—diverting 70% of the organic waste. Since then, she has worked with municipalities and businesses on waste reduction and recycling compliance, led outreach programs, and overseen zero-waste initiatives for a national restaurant chain. As EPR gains momentum in the U.S., Tina is especially passionate about helping companies move beyond downstream waste management to more strategic, upstream action—optimizing product and packaging systems, reducing compliance risks, and contributing meaningfully to the circular economy.
