Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support our extended producer responsibility (EPR) compliance activities and elevate our brand presence across Canada and the U.S.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop annual marketing plan that aligns with RLG’s strategy and annual business plans
  • Write content and design responses to Request for Proposals
  • Create brand awareness content and marketing collateral (handouts, videos, presentations, emails, white papers)
  • Plan, manage and create content for group communication platforms (social media, website, newsletters, press releases, podcasts and/or webinars etc.)
  • Identify and coordinate sales and promotional events
  • Maintain and plan for continuous improvement of RLG website
  • Collaborate with global marketing team
  • Coordinate RLG’s community engagement and Circular Economy thought leadership and sponsorships
  • Assist with CRM sales funnel (prospecting, lead generation, contacts etc.)
  • Manage annual marketing budget

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, document, and implement business opportunities that contribute to the continuous improvement of RLG’s marketing strategy and growth of RLG’s brand presence in North America.
  • Drive initiatives with Business Development and Compliance business units and other business units including Operations, IT and Product Development.
  • Participate in initiatives that contribute to the development of new product placement strategies and coordinate and support their rollout.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sustainability, or related field and at least three years of marketing experience
  • Combination of creative digital skills and business acumen
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canada EPR regulations and/or experience in the circular economy industry is an advantage. However, interest in product stewardship, circular economy, EPR compliance is a must.  
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Effective working in a team environment and independently
  • Experience using design software tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel & Power BI (or similar BI tools), CRM MS Dynamics, Jira/Confluence
  • Willingness to travel is a must and fluent French would be an asset

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm, with flexibility as needed. Our highly attractive total compensation plan includes a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), health benefits, a defined contribution pension, personal days and three weeks of vacation to start.

During COVID-19, we work remotely and support flexible work schedules. Upon our return to the office, we will continue to support flexible work schedules but depending on the job requirements you’ll need to be able to commute to our office. We are conveniently located in Toronto on the Yonge subway line at Queen Street.
