Responsible for

Overall Business MIS management based on External Business Environment and understanding of the Internal Business Capabilities and Assessment, Management Business Reporting, Global Business Reporting

Role Summary

Provide Business analytic inputs based on company and business data to support in creating strategies for enhancing revenue and business expansion. Performing business analysis, mapping & analyzing competitor activities, understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders, evaluating & analyzing the industry and company data, and create business solutions. 

Devise and suggest business/process excellence solutions which should increase the efficiency of the internal business processes.

Key Responsibilities- Task and Activities

Strategic Business Planning Support- Conduct market & product research to facilitate MD in taking strategic decisions related to the product, price, place, SWOT, industry challenges, competition, and future roadmap specifically for business verticals.

  • Review and analyze Business data, historical sales, revenue and cost trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical and financial forecast models & evaluate forecast results for each business vertical.
  • Perform market study for geographical expansion, feasibility study, and cost & Benefits analysis for each business vertical.
  • Facilitate the RLG India strategic business plan, update mid-year plan, LRP through analyses of the revenue and cost data.

Business MIS & Reports

  • Responsible to generate, maintain, consolidate and track various Daily/Weekly/Monthly Business MIS reports and analyze them to present business situation of the organization

1. Financial MIS – AP/AR and Cash Flows and Cost MIS to be collated vs Business Revenue MIS 

2. Business MIS – Salvages Impact vs Company Target Achievement

3. Cost MIS – Cost of Goods Sold and company expenses

4. ERP MIS collation into Business MIS and variances

  • Analyze data and reports from various internal departments and external sources and provide actionable insights and suggestions
  • Prepare Ad hoc reports client wise & process-wise, provide operational metrics to management as required
  • Prepare and devise Monthly/ Quarterly /Business MIS/ Cost Gross and Profit Margins
  • Ensure that MIS / Business Reporting and information recorded in both electronic and hard copy meets with internal and external audit standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate Monthly milestone reporting of RLG India from the perspective of RLG Group.  

Business Data Analysis & Business Intelligence/ insights

To Provide Business Data Analysis & Intelligence support including to the Management for each business vertical

  • Identify Gaps, identify the problems, analyze root cause, and then suggest solutions which should increase the efficiency of the business.
  • Conduct Business Trend Analysis on the basis of past trends & current market conditions. Proper maintenance of historic data that can be made easily available for any reference & Trend Study.
  • Identify Gaps, identify the problems, analyses root causes, and then suggest solutions that should increase the efficiency of the business process.
  • Provide strategic data inputs to create strategies for enhancing sales, revenue, and operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze data on variance business movements and preparation of business reports basis business dynamics and the requirement to develop effective reporting.
  • Support Pricing Strategy for each client/customer and respective business vertical - Evaluation, Analysis & Approvals for Pricing Proposals/Business Modelling. To keep a track on Rate Approvals & Rate Contract,

Management and Business Reviews

  • Facilitates and integrate strategic Business Analysis process, including regular review of Business performance against the strategic plan
  • Predict risk factors and identify solutions for the successful completion of the Business Plan
  • Support and conduct monthly review meetings for analyzing the business performance of the company.
  • Monitor Competitor activities and devise effective countermeasures

Business Projects /Process Excellence Strategy

  • Identify and share the best process and practices of the RLG India Projects undertaken to the RLG Global Teams/ Intranet through approved Project Reports.
  • Identify the Ongoing Project Status and disseminate information & incorporate those standards within the RLG India team to ensure uniformity at par to RLG Global Project Standards and quality standards.
  • Encourage Process and Knowledge collaboration within RLG India and RLG Global Teams that promote constructive business processes interchange and cooperation within both the Teams.
  • Drive improvement in identified key operational metrics for RLG India based on RLG Global benchmarking strategies, standards, and practices

Key Skills Required

  • Minimum 6-10 years of work experience in similar roles & responsibilities in an established organization
  • Must be a graduate or Postgraduate in any field /Management, Finance, MBA, ICWA or Cost Accountancy
  • Must be Well versed with Advanced Excel (Knowledge of – V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Concatenate, Macros, Charts, Advance Excel Formulas - COUNTIF, AND, IF, ROUNDUP, SUBTOTAL, AVERAGES, etc is a must)
  • Ability to understand senior management requirements and work with minimum instructions and supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player having brilliant analytical and presentation skills with a strong ability to effectively read data, track trends.
  • Strong understanding of variances and methodologies/ analytical techniques for effective tracking/ management of day-to-day business operations.
  • Expertise in managing Management Information System (MIS) and Business MIS Automation tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with abilities to multi-task & adaptability
  • Handling risks under high-pressure environment and proven leadership and team-building skills coupled with the ability to direct teams
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others — Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards and if unable to evaluate bring it up to the authorized or specialist person of the company.
